There’s nothing artists love more than grant-writing, so don’t we have a treat for you! It’s time for our annual call for Filmmaker’s Production Assistance Program applications! This program has $7,500 available in support. The Filmpool production grants may provide up to:
$800 to student or first-time filmmakers
$2,500 for Production
$2,500 for Post
$1,000 for Distribution
Filmpool equipment deferrals
To apply, you must be a 2016-2017 Full Production Member.
Grant application deadline: April 15th.
Grant Workshop
To help with the tricky process of grant writing, we will be offering a workshop this March 17th. Leading this workshop is Kyath Battie, current University of Regina Film Production Professor. The workshop will focus on the Filmpool’s own grant process. It is a free workshop for current Filmpool members, and all are encouraged to attend.

Kyath Battie Bio:
Kyath Battie is a filmmaker and experimental media artist with specific interests in botany, nocturnal spaces, and sound design. Her work ranges from personal and observational documentaries to atmospheric thrillers. She has received grants from the Canada Council, NFB, and the Ontario Arts Council. Kyath moved to Regina in August 2015, where she teaches film production in the Department of Film at the University of Regina.
