Wednesday, May 22
Artesian on 13th
Reception 5pm / Screening 6pm
Newly commissioned moving-image works from local artists:
Amalie Atkins / Gerald Saul / Lindsey Rewuski / Jacob Farrell
Sight on Sound engages four Saskatchewan-based filmmakers and moving image artists to create new work in response to existing sound art or experimental music compositions. Since January the artists have worked independently, exploring, filming, creating, and editing, and the results will be screened at the Artesian on 13th during the Cathedral Village Arts Festival.
Following the screening, there will be a conversation with the artists.
Join us beforehand between 5-6pm for a reception with the artists downstairs at the Artesian Bar, and sound art DJ provided by Holophon.
